"Deputy Kovacs" (grandbudapest)

So I had this idea in bed last night—don't ask why.
What would a Porsche 911 991 look like with exhaust outlets similar to the McLaren 12C/650S? Would it eliminate weight of the exhaust tubing or would it be more complicated with cooling the exhaust since I would assume it would be set up right above the engine. I can imagine that it would look really cool though...

If I may: BBI did a Carrera with bumper exits that are probably the closest I've ever seen on any 911. As for a 991 I think the exhaust location is about as high as it can be without a radical redesign of the headers, the engine sits basically as close to the height of the transaxle as permitted so sadly I don't think there's much to be done in that department. My understanding is that a simple muffler delete is the best route to go to save weight, 30 or 40 pounds IIRC. Hope that helped.
